Do you have arthritis and/or struggle with discomfort and restriction in the body that is affecting your quality of life?
This programme combines weekly in-person classes and online sessions with supporting materials to help you reduce pain, improve your posture, move with more ease and make friends along the way.
This is an 8 week course designed to:
The full programme comprises:
Arthritis is an umbrella term that contains over 100 different diseases that cause pain and stiffness in the body and affect your quality of life.
Restricted movement with pain, poor habits and poor posture, limits your potential and what is available to you in life, and this increases as you age…
Research shows that most chronic pain conditions need time, movement and a reset of the nervous system to ease.
But it can be hard to motivate and discipline yourself to move in a way that is going to benefit your wellbeing, if you already feel in pain, and without expert guidance and accountability…
I feel passionately that being able to move your body with confidence and ease is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, and it is my passion as a teacher to gift this to you!
The MOVE away from pain programme uses tailored and modified yoga movements, breathing and mindfulness techniques to enhance your mobility, reduce pain and improve your overall well-being.
Plus it will give you tools to continue moving well and pain free in future; and prevent deterioration.

Our in-person sessions will take place at the Stable Studio, 5 Coleshill Street, Sutton Coldfield B72 1SD - brought to you from the team at Ebrook Osteopathy who have been connecting people with proactive healthcare since 2014.
The natural, light-filled space is beautifully and comfortably finished and is ideal for small group classes.
The studio is equipped with everything we need for our sessions: mats, chairs, yoga bricks and straps.
Sian runs yoga classes in the Sutton Coldfield community, and has done for the past five + years. She also teaches at studios, gyms and has worked with companies that include Ikea and Miller Homes; and athletes including Birmingham and West Midlands Ladies Football Club and the elite gymnastics squad in Victoria, Australia.
Sian’s approach to yoga takes inspiration from her movement background of competitive gymnastics and ballet (to Senior Honours level) as well as Vinyasa and Forrest Yoga, and anatomy and physio experts. She is fascinated by the connection between the mind and the body, particularly in relation to regulating the nervous system for managing stress & anxiety.
Alongside her 200 hr yoga teacher training, Sian has undertaken additional formal training in whole body strength & mobility and modern Vinyasa with world-renowned Vinyasa yoga teacher Jason Crandell, sequencing with Jason and with Adam Husler; and applied anatomy with Dr Yogi. In February 2024 Sian also became accredited as a breathwork and meditation teacher after completing the 100 hours Just Breathe level 1 training with global teacher Michael James Wong.
“I suffer with arthritis, particularly in my neck & back (spondylosis & stenosis). Sian’s approach to yoga concentrates on strengthening muscles to support the bones! The focus is on what you can do, rather than what you can’t!
Her approach is challenging but sensitive and she has a great sense of what I am capable of, pushing just far enough. I am in my 70s and now have more flexibility than in earlier years when I was a regular sportsman.
I strongly recommend Sian to anyone who wants to take steps to tackle the supposed limitations of arthritis and similar conditions in an enjoyable way“
